Ken is a seasoned sustainability leader with extensive experience in climate action planning, carbon neutrality, and ESG strategy. He has led transformative initiatives across higher education, spearheading Dickinson College’s achievement of carbon neutrality in 2020 and guiding the LEED certification of multiple buildings. His expertise in strategic planning, renewable energy solutions, and stakeholder engagement allows institutions to integrate sustainability into their operations, enhancing resilience, efficiency, and long-term value.
With a track record of managing multimillion-dollar projects, Ken has successfully implemented strategies to reduce carbon emissions, enhance climate disruption resilience, and optimize operational efficiency. He played a key role in Dickinson College’s decision to sign Second Nature’s Resilience Commitment in 2022, aligning the institution with a nationwide effort to strengthen campus and community climate resilience. Ken has also developed creative funding mechanisms, such as the ‘Green Fund,’ to support energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Beyond his operational leadership, he is dedicated to sustainability education, frequently guest lecturing and presenting at conferences to advance climate literacy and action.
Ken is also an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and serves on the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium (PERC) after previously holding the role of President for two years.
Ken graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
